Confidence = Body Language (part 2)

People say: "A picture is worth a thousand words"; well if that is so, you certainly want to make a good impression! How to express confidence without opening your mouth doesn't need to be challenging. Here there are some interesting pointers that may help you project a strong, confident, capable attitude. Please don't hesitate to add it in the comments!

Be still, don't fidget!

We used to call this at school "do the elephant dance". Fidgeting is clearly a sign of being nervous (worried, tense, and of course not confident). There are 2 things to avoid: too much gesticulation (moving your hands in excess) and that annoying quick-leg-vibration that looks more like a dog being rubbed in the belly...

Sight: keep it forward!

This one is tricky. Think of walking, you watching your step -- it comes natural, right? But this sight may communicate that you're no interesting in interacting. So, one thing to start doing today: walking with your chin up and eyes forward! And since we're talking about walking...

Take wide steps.

Wide steps make you seem purposeful, express tranquility and denotes confidence. Pay attention how people walk, watch their feet interact with the floor: how do you feel about this people? Gotcha, you know what I am talking about!

Look at your best.

Which for boys mean proper grooming, and for girls, well, the same. To get an idea of this, just picture yourself entering a room full of your respected peers, a bunch of beautiful ladies and good-looking gentlemen; consider you have not showered in 3 days, your skin looks gloomy and your hair untidy... What would you think of you?

Grooming is an important part of communicating confidence with your body: you want your hair, face even your smell work for you not against you!
